Software localization is a complex process that depends on a myriad of variables, from well-known tasks such as double-byte character conversion to sorting issues or the adaptation of sample codes or code comments. Translating the actual strings and resizing dialogs is actually a minor task (yet one that requires thorough preparation and quality control). The first step in every localization project is a detailed analysis and scoping of the tasks required to prepare your software product for a foreign market. In a joint process we then define the project milestones and deadlines to ensure the localized product can be introduced on the market on time. Localization projects can take on many forms of co-operation with our customers. If you would like your own development team to handle the code, we can simply provide you with translations of strings, online help and documentation. Using special localization tools, however, we can also edit most resource formats without compromising the code function. Complex tasks can be handled in cooperation with our experienced development partners. |
